MRI Technologist in Rochester, NY from Mayo Clinic, US

Produces high quality images that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Department. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Ability to work varied hours and shift lengths, which include days, evenings and weekends. On-call shifts require pager response for after-hour nights, weekends and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an ARRT approved or recognized Health Science program.

Incumbents hired into the role prior to February 15, 2018 are required to meet the previous requirements of graduating from an accredited radiography, sonography or nuclear medicine program.

Additional qualifications

Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.

License or certification

ARRT (MR) preferred, or credentialed in one of the following: Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), CNMT, or ARDMS within 90 days after start of employment.

Annual documentation of technical certification required. All incumbents are required to obtain ARRT(MR) certification within 18 months of employment.

CPR/BLS Certified or obtained within 90 days of employment.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $30.25 per hour.
