Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Acting as a long- or short-term substitute teacher for a variety of grade levels and subjects across multiple AMS campuses in the Phoenix metro area

• Use AMS curriculum standards to teach students above and below grade-level through a differentiated approach

• Working with classroom teachers as needed on lesson planning and grading

• Attending weekly professional development and meetings with grade level team/professional learning communities
• Overseeing daily recess, arrival, dismissal, morning, and/or lunch duties, in order to ensure student and staff safety
• Depending on assignment, observing, participating in, or leading parent-student-teacher meetings and required parent communication
• Communicating with parents and leading parent-student-teacher meetings to facilitate progress in and outside of the classroom
• Coordinating with administrators and other staff members to create an environment focused on meeting students’ academic and behavioral needs
• Using measurable data, track student performance and enrich their progress with visible results
• Use PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to guide student progress in developing social and emotional skills that will help them navigate a path to higher learning

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary $35,000-$37,500 per year depending on education and experience.
