Medical City Healthcare – Division Float Pool
PRN, Day shift, West Pod
PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING:
- This PRN position requires a minimum commitment of 2 shifts every 4 weeks
- As part of the float pool, you will support different facilities within your DFW pod. (East or West)
- East Pod: Medical City Denton, Frisco, Plano, Las Colinas, McKinney, Dallas, Lewisville
- West Pod: Medical City Ft Worth, Arlington, North Hills, Alliance, Las Colinas, Weatherford
- You will be assigned to one facility for a duration of 12 weeks, based on need
- These are permanent positions at a rate of $14/hr
The Patient Safety Attendant / Screener participates in high quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring of high risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm. The sitter may also assist with basic activities of daily living. The Screener participates by operating a station designed to control access of individuals that present to facility access points. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSS screens individuals to ensure the patient and staff environment is free of potential exposure to respiratory illnesses and infectious diseases. The PSS provides guidance to patients and visitors on the appropriate pathways, following established protocols. The PSS may assist with directing patients, traffic, or monitoring in remote locations.

Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required – offered during new hire orientation
De-Escalation training provided
