Description Of Essential Functions – All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics – Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy’s values, mission, and strategic business objectives – Ensure the integrity and security of server environment and confidential information – Set up new user accounts, grant users access to data and applications, and terminate access for users whose employment has ended – Configure applications and appliances for security and group policies – Manage and maintain infrastructure for corporate email systems, SAP and network security, and various computer applications – Train users on good security awareness including firewalls, network access controls, intrusion detection and prevention, wireless networking, and anti-virus and malware systems – Research and implement new security systems, devices, and applications – Audit security events related to critical services and systems – Assist other staff members with security issues and troubleshoot complex technical issues – Work all required hours including evenings and weekends in response to service need; including participating in on-call rotation – Management of security on enterprise systems Marginal Work Functions – These functions may be considered essential based on location and other factors. – Scan, print, file, and retrieve documents – Respond to inquiries* – Interface with records management* – Travel to meetings, training, and conferences (up to 15% travel per year)* General Qualifications – Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record – Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, or similar field of study – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, overall computer best practices, and computer software – At least two years of related experience is preferred SELECTION PROCESS When considering applicants for this position, the selection process will take into consideration the needs of NorthWestern, including such factors as reorganization requirements, diversity opportunities, relocation requirements, employee development and job succession.
