Special Education Teacher – Long Term Substitute -Online in Harrisburg, PA from Therapy Source, US

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking long term substitute Special Education Teachers to provide online services for elementary students who have a wide range of disabilities. Teachers will utilize a variety of web-based educational tools and ensure that lessons and teaching are modified to meet each students needs. These positions are for the remainder of the 2020/2021 school year. PA Certification in Special Education is Required. Special Education Teacher Days Salary Range: $30-$35 per hour Special Education Teacher Qualifications: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred PA Certified in Special Education PA Instructional I or II Educational Certification Current (dated within a year) Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain) Special Education Teacher Responsibilities Include: Competence in assessing student progress towards IEP goals and objectives and ability to write a quality review of records and IEP based on student progress and performance A firm understanding of all current legislation surrounding special education and any changes made to it Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures Able to work independently and effectively with other team members Good team player and very reliable in working without close supervision Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Email Google Drive Web-based programs Not required, but a plus: Canvas Achieve 3000, EdInsight, PowerSchool, or other educational technology resources Enjoy scheduling flexibility, impressive hourly rates, and amazing support from our dedicated account team!
