Job description
Counselors will be assigned to a group of 4-5 students and will assist them in the engineering design process as they construct devices to solve a medical or global health problem. They will lead two breakout sessions each day, with 4-5 high school students per session. All communication will occur in a virtual setting, over Zoom.

Minimum Experience/Education
Counselors should be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in an undergraduate STEM field at UNC at Chapel Hill, NC State University, NC Central University, or North Carolina A&T State University.
Department Required Skills
Counselors are required to have a strong foundation in a STEM field and be able to teach the engineering process to high school students. Strong communication skills are required.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Leadership experience, mentorship experience, and experience working with high school students are preferred qualifications.
