This is a first shift position, M-F with daily OT and Saturdays as needed to meet customer demands. We make every effort to notify employees of overtime requirements in advance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools, equipment, and materials
Issues tools, fixtures, jaws, materials, and equipment
Work directly with materials handlers to make sure correct materials are pulled for job
Maintains records of tools/equipment issued and returned
Locates lost or misplaced tools/equipment
Work with vendors that manage inventory on site to communicate issues or areas for improvement
Maintain inventory of fixtures and jaws for jobs
Inspects tools and equipment for defects and wear, reports damage/wear to Machining Supervisor
May deliver tools/equipment using hand truck or powered industrial truck
May mark and identify tools and equipment using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
Follow 5S and FIFO procedures when stocking materials
Physically implementing or rearranging storeroom, including labeling of bins
Performing various daily computer activities such as, inputting daily transactions, inventory set up/maintenance, generating reports, working on spreadsheets, and timely responses to all e-mails
Follow all company rules and policies
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

High School Degree or Equivalent
Read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, manuals, and memos
Obtain Power Industrial Truck license
Basic computer understanding including updating information in ERP and databases, e-mail, and Word documents
Read measuring tools
Lift up to 50 pounds
Work overtime as needed
Use calipers for inspection

Desired Characteristics:

Forklift experience
Basic understanding of metrology

Experience working with tools and measuring equipment
